Can I run my fuel return back to sump?


Im finishing up a fuel system on my car I have a -12 an supply and a -8 return, can I run the return back into the sump?

Why would you be using a -12 hose for a supply hose, that's a big hose?

because thats what the bung is and the eliminator pump uses a -12 inlet, so can the return be ran into the sump?

dont think you want to run it back to the sump..but i wouldnt know...damnit big ass pump whast your power goals?

No, you want the return as far away from the pickup as possible to minimize bubbles and heat.

what if it was ran to the sump and a line inside the tank where the return comes in, and ran the fuel away fromt he supply?

hp wise 750 ish but with e85 the fuel system will have to be able to support 1000

Sure, It doesn't matter where the return line enters the tank as much as where it dumps the returned fuel.

10.5:1 compression, vortech YSi pullied for 20-25 psi, trick flow heads, custom grind blower cams, fox lake intake manifold, return fuel system, fore precision rails. I'm sure I am leaving stuff out but thats most of the big stuff.
