SCT Xcalibrator 2, Is it all they say it is?

I read on a website that an 03 GT can gain 17 rwhp with just the Xcal2, any dyno proven testimonials out there, or any at all for that matter? I have a CAI, Off-road X-pipe with flowmasters and Underdrive pulleys. What can I expect to gain?

20-25hp and maybe a little more torque with those mods.

I think you are going to be looking more of 10-15hp and IMO the livewire is a little overrated a SCT Xcal2 should do you just fine. But were you are really going to benifit is if you get it custom tuned on a dyno.

I personally think that the Livewire is over rated as well! Just stick with the SCT tuner from bamachips and you will like it! Doug will burn you semi custom( its not custom because its not on a dyno) tunes and you have a choice of what octane and if you want Performance tune, Race tune or Torque tune! Its worth the couple extra bucks because he will also then send you free tunes when you mod your car more!

I'm digging my Sniper Tuning's Special Forces software. You need a pc to make the adjustments, but it'll store 5 tunes and you can use it on two ford vehicles.

It allows adjustments to the tune for fuel, exchaust, injector size, nitrous, etc. Also the standard stuff like shift points, rev limiter, speedo limiter, tire size...etc.

It definately seems to pull a bit more through the higher rpms with the tune.

I went with the diabloSport Predator. It does everything the SCT can do, but I got mine for $218 shipped off ebay. It also does live data logging if you have a laptop. I think it is way too soon to be getting a dyno tune with those mods. You have a similar set up to my own. I have a O/R X, magnapacks, K&N CAI and my tuner. I'll be getting UDPs shorty. Wait till you get a some type of FI or head and cam work before you pay to go to the dyno.
