03-04 cobra eaton supercharger for my 04 mach 1

I know its inefficient and somethin like a procharger/vortech/kenne bell would be better, put this eaton only has 3000 miles on it and pretty cheap too. I wouldn't be runnin much boost either considering im runnin stock internals. Any reason this would be a bad idea? Any input is appreciated, thanks guys.

The heads are a different design on a Cobra than what's on our Mach's. You may want to look into that before you do anyting drastic.

Hmmmm... I may have confused myself. Does this s/c some with a new intake? How do you plan on feeding the extra air into the intake of the Mach 1? I'm guessing your gonna have to do some major modifications to get this to work. It's not origonally designed for a Mach 1 style intake, so I don't think it will work.

I wouldn't pursue it unless the price really is the greatest in the world... And if it is, then I would take the steps to contact the Eaton company tech support and run it by them on what all would be needed to make this conversion. They may already sell a s/c kit for a Mach, and you could possibly purchase one of these minus the blower... But that's a maybe.

You would be better off buying a system that was designed for the Mach 1's.

The guy said it comes with everything i'd need to do it right except for the intake. He said he knew i guy that just put one like this on his mach and after the new intake everything worked fine. I'll do some research for sure though.

Well the only thing you will need for it to work is a intake that came off of an 03-04 cobra! But personally I think that you would be much happier with a KB or a Procharger! The eaton M112 blows ass and is the only downfall of the terminator motors!

the head specs are a little difference, should not be enough to make a difference, the cam profiles are a little different also

My friends cobra when he had the ported eaton and all basic bolt ons made 501 at the wheel. I have an strim on my 2v making 515. Now he has a KB at 600 rwhp. Dammit he's always one step ahead of me.

Orangeblast over on the mach1registry did this about 2 years ago and got really good results. He had a thread which detailed the entire install with a parts list. It can be done with good results. You do use the function of your shaker but he rigged his up so that it was attached to the hood. I will see if I can locate a link if you are interested.

heh, i know what ya mean bro. A couple guys i run with are always keep ahead of me because they've got a lot more cash to throw at it. Keep on top of em though, one day he'll trip and you'll be able to step over him for the win :award. Good luck.

Well, a KB or Procharger can be purchased as a kit complete with most everything you need. The hEaton approach would be cheaper but would take more time to gather the parts and be a bigger pain. Just depends on your patience and pocketbook. Good luck.
