Mustang wont start in cold??????


i got a problem goin on. i parked my car friday n havent tried to start it until this past sunday wen all this bad weather hit. wen i went to start it it turns over for like 2 sec then clicks. i replaced starter n battery n still no solution. is it possible that the oil is too thick cuz of the freezing temps to start????? any suggestions thanks

make sure the car has fuel pressure

I don't see it being the oil. How does the car run when you do get it started?

shoulduh ballwt uh chevy.

Im calling BS on replacing the battery with a NEW one. It would turnover consistently if the battery was hot and not do that ruummm rummm click click click.

Your symptoms sound like a battery. Are you sure it is a new one you replaced it with. Oil, especially the viscosity that we use in our motor, has to be VERY cold to get thick enough to cause a sluggish start like that.

well ive replaced the batt n yea good point it would have to get really cold for the oil to do that in our cars. i think wat happened was the coolant froze n the water pump fans locked up cuz of the coolant freezing so im currently heatin the motor up n ill check it out in the morning.....

If you have your coolant mixed properly, it would take like -50 to freeze it.. i don't think you're coolant is frozen unless you have zero coolant and all water. I would keep looking at that battery.. how many volts does it read right now? How many cold cranking amps is it rated at?
