suspension advice

so i just got my torque arm installed and it is amazing, i have so much rear end grip its retarted. But my front end has a little bit of understeer now. How do i fix this. I have the Tokico D-spec shocks, should i losen them up in the front or tighten? Do i have to much weight in the front? Stickyer tires?

So compounding the rear grip has given you understeer, huh? he he *I keed, I keed*

A heavier rear sway bar is one of the easiest ways to address this issue, but would NOT recommend one unless ALL of your other suspension mods are done. A better way, would be to install heavier rear springs, so should consider this.

Did you get new springs rated for use with this TA and what are your mods again, as I forget?

For this issue on my own car, I installed an MMRSB #4 and was a nice upgrade. The softest setting is just stiffer than the OEM GT New Edge bar, but has 3 additional adjustment settings. I eventually went to the last one and was still not enough for AX. I now run the #5 bar (purchased all by itself for this upgrade) and run at the lowest setting, but will likely move it up one setting for next season and see how she does.

what do you have for your front suspension? could it be that the rear is stiffer than the front suspension?

I agree with Jazzer, as everyone probably should haha. you could use sway bars to help fix this problem, but they really should only be used as a fine tuning device after the rest of the suspension is setup.

The bbk spring rates were designed to be used on the mustang with the standard 4 link. By decreasing binding in the rear with the TA, and thus improving traction the rear springs need to be changed Increasing the rear spring rate will help compensate for the understeer. MM can help you choose a rear spring rate that works best for your car. They have springs specifically designed to be used with a TA.
