Use a hi level converter.. you can get them for about $20 bucks.

Yes, theres a RCA cable adapter you can buy and splice into your wiring between your rear deck speakers and the amps themselves. This way the signal the headunit sends it is strong enough to also send a signal to your new amp.
I did this last year and my sub guy who is reputable and attends the world series events for sound systems, claimed if you spliced it right behind the head unit the signal would be too weak to make your sub hit properly. you would splice it in between your stock amps and rear speakers, then you would have rca outputs. Then you would splice your remote wire into the black and pink wire on your stock head unit wiring harness. Thats the head units remote wire. The rest is plug in play as usual. Hope this helps. If you need more of an explanation let me know.

i just got tired of it.. my rear amps went out. so i bought a decent head unit. and put two re sxx 12.s with a 4000 watt massive amp in my car.. i just ran all my own wires to the door speakers and rear deck.... wasnt near as hard as i thought it would be..

well will i be able to adjust just the subwoofer bass, because anyone with a stock head unit knows that if u adjust the bass level on ur headunit it does it for the door speakers too and sounds like crap.

You will NOT be able to adjust the bass unless you have a sub with wired remote bass knob.

Yeah, you're right.. I mean amp. but unless you have that, you will not be able to separately adjust the subwoofer bass. But it does bring up a good question.. If you turn the head unit bass all the way down, even with a separate control knob for the sub amp, will it affect the subs? My guess is that it will. You need to run the subs on a completely different channel to get full control, something you can do with line level converters and a head unit with no RCA outs.

i dont wanna have to turn up the bass level, thats the problem. because then it adds bass to the door speakers which makes the vocals n shit also have more bass, which sucks. i jus want more bass where there should be bass

If you get an amp with remote bass control, you should be able to adjust your other speakers the way you like it, then adjust your gain the the amp to specs and then be able to have full control of how much bass comes from the subs. Beware though, some amps remote bass is actually a remote gain where some amps are actual volume levels. I have a KICKER amp and L5 sub and it's great.. as soon as I get to my neighborhood I turn the sub down to nothing and I have full range speakers as if it's stock.

ok and now, if u run it from the stock headunit, will u have both vocals and music comming from your sub? you would have to have an amp that can be put on the low or high frequency correct?

Yes, most amps these days have a built in crossover to eliminate unwanted ranges.

honestly if u want it to sound good and not be rigged jus buy a cheap aftermarket head unit and run youre own wires...its not near as hard as u would think... i done it all and installed the subs in my trunk in about three hrs.. now it sounds awesome.. all the factory mach stuff is a pain..and the amps have a bad habbit of going out...
