New here! Intro/opinions needed!

Ok, first let me introduce myself. I drive a black 02 GT, and love it! Been patrolling the boards for a little while and decided to create an account, since I'm finally getting the ball rolling with my car. I don't currently have any pics of it =[ sorry. I'd take some if I could, but it's in the shop getting some stuff put on. It's fairly stock. I have mgw short shifter, spec stage 1 clutch, spec billet aluminum flywheel, mach chin spoiler, mach grille delete, a CAI, as well as smoked head lights. Right now, I'm getting a 4" cowl hood and saleen spoiler painted and put on. I've been also debating putting on a cobra front bumper, and saleen side skirts. I'm don't know what combination would look best. I know for sure I want the saleen spoiler though. So it's between GT bumper w/ or w/o skirts, or cobra bumper w/ or w/o skirts. Any opinions?

ive got a 03-04 cobra bumper and a 4" cowl hood and love it.....welcome to the site bro...there are alot of guys on here if u need any help...they have kept me from pulling my hair out on a few occaisions

Thanks for the input man! And yeah I've always found good info on this forum. I'm definitely going to be on here A LOT. I have a lot of ideas for my car that I'm going to need opinions for, as well as help with my 4v swap(when it I buy one) and a bunch of other stuff as it comes along.

which cobra bumper? the saleen skirts would look fine with the 99/01, but would look little out of place on an 03/04 termi bumper. my opinion

I agree as well. Personally I'd do the 99/01 bumper w/ the Saleen spoiler. I think the 03/04 cobra bumper is played out, but it's all up too you.

Hey thanks a lot man! Yeah I was honestly on the fence with it, I know it's a bit of an overkill unless you're packing a serious punch to back up the aggressive look, but I feel the the plans for this car will do it justice. I'll definitely post some pics as soon as I get it back, along with my plans for it. Can't wait for everyone's opinions!

the 4" is killer looking (i got 4"/99/01 bumper) but its just over kill imo if you dont have to have it. i personally like the 2.5/3in" better, but thats just my opinion.

they are just gotty. as much as i like mine, i would never have it on something i drove a lot.

Are you putting on a cowl hood for necessity or for looks? I didn't read anything in your posts that suggested that you had a physical need for a hood like that.

Personally, I don't like cowl hoods on cars unless you need it for clearance. When it's done for looks only it just makes me cringe!!!
