down time = time to think of more mods :(
i was standing infront of the car last night, and i got to thinking about the car a little more.
1) i hate the abs set up and i decided i will delete it. not sure, but i hope a tune will be able to shut off the abs light. not sure if there is any mass produced dist. box for the brake lines, but i guessing i will probably have to just make one. 2) i will be stripping the car back down again, and i think i will hack up the wire looms and delete all the wires that i wont be using. 3) i will order the rest of my stuff within a week or 2 to finish the car. i got some stuff done i been putting off, and now i have no reason to put the car off any longer. trying to gather up the (i hope) final shopping list for it right now. 4) also come to the conclusion i will try to sell/trade the car after i get a few passes in it next year. before you monkeys start asking why all the work to sell it............. i come to the conculsion i will still hate it. if the car doesnt sell/trade, i will just sell the motor, trans, probably rear end, and maybe fuel system in favor for a different set up that i hope will satisfy me (doubt it)

Well, having just deleted my ABS, I can tell you that there's nothing in the ECU that you or a tuner can disable to turn off the light. I pulled the cluster and pulled the bulb to shut it off.

I also forgot, there is a distribution box you can buy if you don't want to just sit an T the lines. Send pbastian@roadrunner.com an email, he machines them as they're ordered, and it takes about 2 weeks to get one. Mine was $105 shipped, I think.

Yeah, that's Phil. It's a good piece. I could have done it with T's and lines, but wanted the keep everything looking clean, and $105 was worth it to me just to have it look nice instead of a series of lines.

it wont be a cluster of lines, too much gone into it for a crappy short cut. i will look at it again another day and decide then.

if i keep the car and dont go lsx, it will be a 5.3 with some boost, some spray, splash of race gas, and all out drag.

You know my vote goes to the LSx motors!!! Only way to go! Best bang for buck by far!

I wish I could afford an actual LSX block, not just a regular LSx (LS production series) engine, to swap into the Camaro. Right now I'm only running an early first generation 350 (pre 1986) 2 piece RMS block. Nice to see you guys having some friendly words towards GM products.
I can't lie, I favor GMs, but the Mustang is the far better street car. Looks better in nearly any generation compared to the Camaro, the 2V and 4V 4.6s sound better than nearly any GM engine ever made, maybe except for an LS7. Interior is better designed and a lot more comfortable, just not as roomy. The Mustangs have pretty much always weighed less, come stock with the stout 8.8 rear.IMO all the Camaro has going for it is a low drag coefficient from 1982 and up, The T-56 in the case of 93-02 Camaros, a more than worthy block to build on in the case of the LS1, and just how Chevy engines are cheaper to come by and mod. And in a street car, all of that is pretty much useless, which is why my street car of choice would be the Mustang. ![]() Then again, while I've mentioned being more of a GM guy before, I don't really belong to one brand. I love the Camaro, the Firebird, of course I love Mustangs, and my next vehicle is going to be a Chrysler product, a Dodge Ram 2500. It's all about the variety, it's the spice of life. ![]() Edit: To get slightly back on topic, don't sell it Sweet! Hopefully you build a setup that'll work for you. What are you aiming for, 9's?

Because they are slow and 2v's don't necessarily make power easily.
Mustang GT to hit 400rwhp=Blower & some bolt ons Ls1= exhuast tune and maybe some cams ls2= 400 stock whoaa. (crank but whatever) |

you have to think starting with a 218 compared to a 347 is a HUGE difference. I too like an lsx based motor. But the fun part is having a mustang that stomps ls cars. Besides you dont want to drive a catfish. If teh 4.6 isnt enough throw an ls2 in there.

O and the weakest part of our rides are rod/pistons. F bodies have weak rear ends. I'd rather deal with beefing up a rear end then tearing out the bottom end of my motor..

agreed. but with good suspension, a mustang eith 400hp can spank your average bolt on cammed ls. Bc most of them ls guys dont do any suspension. They are all about the power, and then cant plant it.
