a couple of Qs relating to gas and nitrous

ok, i want to run nitrous but there is a lack of higher octane fuel in my area! closest place with 91 is 40 miles away. now about meth injection, it boosts octane but when running NA my car wouldnt perform as great.. could i run a 100 shot on 87? if i cant find a way to increase octane i wont be doing a 150 shot like i planned.

SCT 4 bank chip?

You could find a tuner that will tune it for a 87 octane tune but you wont get at much power than you think you would.

If i were you get a hand held tuner DD the 87 and whenever you in that area with the 91 fill up and switch to the 91 octane nitrous tune and go to the track or have fun on the street.

it would be nice to have a 87 performane tune, 87 economy tune, and a 91 or higher nitrous tune. i was looking into meth injection to use only when spraying to get the octane up higher.

you can run 87 with nitrous, but not something that is recommended. i have done it quiet a bit, i never had any issue, but i still dont in any way recommend it. if you cant get 91+, i would look into something like torco accelerator to bump it up a little.

as for the eliminator chip and hand held. the 4 bank is a chip that can be switched on the fly, but tunes have to eb burned on the chip. the sf3 is a handheld tuner, tuning has to be downloaded to it, and its not on the fly switchable.

alright, thanks for the info! what about running meth with the 87 just during the times im spraying? with the sct 4 bank chip i could have multiple tunes to switch between. like a 87+meth tune for the nitrous, 87 performance, and 87 economy tune?

If you are just wanting to run the meth with the nitrous, you can turn it off under the hood and back on when you want to spray. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a chip if you have to stop and pop the hood to activate the meth.

2) the 2v's have trouble moving a decent volume of air as it is. then add meth on top of the nitrous, and could be trouble.

lucas octane booster works fine for me, i run 87 and lucas sometimes for my 91+ tune
go with that or torco.... all the other NOS brands and such are BS and only raise your octane to like 87.3 lol

I am running meth as a fail safe and increased timing to avoid detonation. I started a thread on this on the corral and alcohol injestion specialties chimedvin with a link on it all. Go over and read what he wrote and read the link. Great info. And itvwill answer your questions
