Where's my traction?

Any one else have almost no traction?
I ease off the clutch just driving around town, but if I drop it in 2nd gear from about less than 40 I spin.
For launches I'm spinning in 1st, 2nd, for a second in 3rd.
I just don't understand why. I have about average power for a 2v with bolt on's, plus I still have stock gears.

its probably the cold, tires dont hook in the cold. or your tires are old and dry rotted or just bald. i would not cry about your problem man i cant even get on my car in any gear in the winter and i live in florida.

Its around 75-85 degrees here in Texas, can't be that bad for traction, right?

your problem is in the name. sumitomo tires suck and they wont hook on a track soaked in vht on a hot summer day. they do ok when they are new but go to crap real quick

Suggestions for better tires that won't break the bank?

Nitto Invos are nice, though you might look into running a drag radial

+1

i loved my nittos 555R, lasted a good while also. You'll find them cheaper at Jegs.com than most places.

get better tires and basic suspension mods like sub frame connectors and a decent set of lower control arms and im sure you will have plenty of traction.
