Interesting Mustang "Cobra"

Yesterday, I was driving back from Madison and saw an interesting Mustang "Cobra." I was in my F-150 on a curvy road. He passed the car behind me and as he caught up to me I saw the honeycomb grill, pony in corral, and hood scoop in my rear view mirror. I thought to myself an '01-04 GT.

He followed me for a while and at the first opportunity passed. I first noticed a raspy exhaust as he passed. I didn't much care for the sound. Then as he pulled in front of me I noticed the SVT emblem on the rear deck, the '01-04 wing, and the MUSTANG rear bumper cover. WTF?

I caught up to him at the first stop light and pulled in the lane beside him. Plain as day were Cobra emblems on the fenders. I pointed all of this out to my wife. I told her that what she was seeing was a Fobra.

A few years ago (before I joined this forum) I didn't care about such things. Actually, I might have thought of it as a real Cobra. Now I just shake my head at the senselessness of such things.

man i am really thinking of puting v6 badges on my car, along with the rear bumper and getting rid of my wing. i know people around me are stupid enough to think my car is a v6 and i may get more races.

I've got one worse, there's another Mineral Gray 'stang running around town here that has "GT" badges in every GT badge spot, billet wheels, GT side scoops, and dual exhaust with bumper cut outs.

However, it is evident (to someone who pays attention to Mustangs) that it's not a GT bumper, just a V6 with bumper cut outs, and he also has typical V6 door ding runner guards. His exhaust sounds pretty bad too. I rev at him every time I see him and for some reason he always fades back in traffic a bit...

Theres a guy who comes by work all the time and it makes me wanna puke. He has a bone stock GT with a 01 rear cobra bumper, chrome bullit rims not staggered, chrome on the outer-side of the wheel well, chrome LED tail lights (notice a pattern...) and the icing on the cake, chrome side blinkers above the GT emblems on the fenders. Oh and a bad battery
