I just bought the smoked tail light paint today, and i will be doing it like that. I will be doin that after work, so ill have pics. If ur gonna do it dont to window tint because its too much work to cut it to the tail light shape. Summit has the tail light tint from VHT.

Yeh its illegal here but i put it on my old car anyways. They dont tend to bug you to much until you get pulled over for something else.. then its just a fix-it ticket : )

The trouble with spray-on is getting it on evenly. The only trouble with using window tint is a steady hand. As small as the tail lights are you'll have plenty of film in a roll should you mess up. It's not hard - I tinted many of my own cars when I was younger. It's easy.

The plastic blackouts are illegal, but the vinyl tint is not. The tint doesn't block as much light.

I don't know how you did it. I tried doing it myself with window tint and it doesn't bend correctly to fit the curves in the lights. At least I couldn't get it to.

Try these tints or even These tints.

I was looking at something like that. This is the one I want. I think that would look sick on a black Stang.

I am looking at tinting mine also. Buying the tint and doing it yourself is alot better than the 200 dollar sets you find on ebay every now and then.. And the only diff is they did it instead of you.
