^ I knew that, but wanted other pepes to know that such a tire is gonna be fine with a 60 series and moreover, a DR designed with a very flexable/soft sidewall

really so a 275 on a 8 inch wide wheel wont help anything, or you stating a normal tire and not a drag radial/slick?

^ The issue is a tire that is not designed to run on a narrower wheel will not have the contact patch nor "form" in which it was designed. A 275 on an 8" wheel will have the contact pulled up around the sides, as it cannot lay flat on the ground. Now, this is an issue of degree and all tire manufacturers differ a bit, take the Nitto's, for example. When a tire is "pulled up" in such a way, one will not have the correct distribution of weight across the tire and tend to get less than normal wear. Some will run a bit less air pressure in an attempt to compensate, but as mentioned earlier in this thread, the tire still wears funny. In the extreme, the sidewalls are strained and the bead has a limited area in which to seat on the rim. This can be dangerous if the tire gets under sever loads and especially latterally.

Choosing a new tire has a bit more info on this.

Jazzer, what's your rim/tire size up front? Did the SLA setup move the location of the front tires forward? I'm assuming you don't have any rubbing issues...

I rub over bumps on my Winter tires, but Summer ones not soo much. I run 295/30's up front and indeed the "K" runs the wheels forward and outward a bit.

Alright so the tread is about 275's on a stock 17x8 wheel right? Well the same guy i said put those 10.5's on a 15x7 wheel just put some 315/35/17's on the stock 17x8 5 star wheel today lol i never thought they would fit but they did. Well they didnt fit right but they went on, he went from a 245 tire to a 315 tire on the same rim. Here he his meltin off those 10.5's makin way for the 315's.
