Wrecked the car Saturday night

I got off of work at 6 Saturday and emmediately had to go to the Hospital because my daughter had a seizure. (she's fine now) We got out of there around 830 and went to Wal Greens to drop of her prescription then decided to stay in town and ride around until it was ready. The wife and I finally got a call from Wal Greens around 945 letting us know the prescription was almost ready so we turned around and the next exit and slowly started getting up to speed since it was raining. I saw the guys car coming up from behind me and the closer he got it looked like he accelerated to go around me when he lost control of his vehicle and side swiped me, pushed me off the road into the median. I have not taken any pictures so please dont ask for them. Damaged the entire passenger side of my car. My trans is stuck in gear and can not figure that one out just yet. Doesn't look like it will get totalled so maybe it will get fixed.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. Talk about a bad day. Tell me that the other driver was at least ticketed for that.

^ im so sorry to hear that I am glad your daughter is safe and so are you and your wife, I hope your car isn't totaled im sure it was a beauty what color was it? and i agree He better have received a CNI at minimum for driving a complete jackass in bad weather his insurance wont be to happy about this one! your in my prayers!

car is black. thanks for the best wishes everyone. he ended up being a friend of one of my best friends so we did not get the police involved. settled it between ourselves

I hope your daughter is ok, my best friend in HS's sister had sieziers a lot. It was scary.

Glad you guys are ok too, although you really should of gotton the police involved. If your entire passenger side is side swiped then thats a lot of money to fix.... and on top of that if your tranny needs to be replaced for whatever reason you do realize that you are gonna have to "ask" your friends friend for Over like +$3k when all said and done?

well whether you think it is wise or not was no need to to get police involved. we agreed on everything called the insurance and SETTLED the situation. if the car totals so be it. i will buy it back part it out and buy a built TT GTO pushing over 700 rwhp that is for sale.

oh as long as you still called the insurance. You made it sound like he hit you and you just towed it to your driveway to settle between yourselves. Yeah no need for police.

sorry for the confusion. if he didnt have insurance i would have not hesitated to call the cops. he would have been going to jail for endangering me and my wife.

well aside from what they said i see your side of the story and i probably would do the same thing for a close friend, as long as insurance is covering the matter the police don't need to I admire you honorability in taking matters between eachother with insurance involved I hope all gets takn care of with ease!

I done what I would want one of my friends to do for me if this happened the other way around. Heck the guy could have hit me and kept going and I never would have known who it was because his car was still drivable. Mine was technically not because I had one gear. I am a big believer in doing to others as I would have them due unto me. He had never had a wreck or any kind of tickets before and I did not think it would have been right on my side to have him suffer for 3 years for a accident that he had no control over.

But hey good news is this. The body shop where my brother works says they do not care what parts I put back on the car so long as it is not more expensive than the parts the insurance company prices. So with that being said looks like I will be getting my new cobra front bumper, foglights for free!!!!
