cost of LT header install?

hey guys, sooo ill say first i used the search function to no avail so im lookin for some opinions/experiences here.

i just got some pacesetter headers for a deal i couldnt pass up and im wondering what did you guys all generally pay for your header install??? guy just quoted me 600 which seems a bit steep.... i mean i could get cams installed from cheaper (including the cams) i know its quite a bit of work but what did you guys pay to have it done??

looks like a 4-6 hour job to me thoughts?

where i am its $75 an hour for install and they told me headers would take 2-4 hours. depending on how busy they were with other cars. but $600 to me sounds a little high.

We charge 350$ and that includes your mid pipe install as well. I cant see it ever costing more than that, unless you run into a porblem with broken bolts of something to that nature.

Correct, dont use the pacesetter gaskets, use rither the stock ones you take out of buy a new set from Ford. The stock gaskets are MLS, that means multy layered steel, and they are great! If they blow out its because something was wrong other than the gasket...

4 hours each side?! holy crap! maybe if i did it myself it'd be that but professional install should be quicker than that.

S. Florida, standard header install price is $400. at most shops.

Possibly less if you have a tubular K member.

Same here in NC. $400 is the standard flat rate, because it does take 6-8 hours to do a set of headers with a stock K-Member.
