Fitmet issues with Mach 1 grill delete

Hey I got a mach 1 3 piece grill delete from American Muscle, when i put it on, the piece that is covering the bottom, god its hard to describe, dosent exactly fit perfect, it has like a 1/8 inch gap on both sides where it meets the bumper right next to the head lights, did I get a bad piece or is that just how they are, the car has never been in a wreck and the everything is oem.

I will try to get a pic on here today....

you mean that it basically wont "stick down" onto the bumper? Mine does the same thing... they gave me double sided tape... but it doesnt work at all. I have learned to live with it.

well, I just cannot get the picture to upload from my computer despite it saying it was withen the limits of both size(kb and actual size) and file type as pnc, jpg, jpeg, gif, etc. I dont know why but trying to upload a pic to this forum just makes me want to punch my computer.........

The bottom sits just fine, as well as the driver side fits well to the side, its the pass side that has a gap to it, I measured it and its almost a .21 inch. Its not terrable its just something that bothers me a little....

does yours look like this?

mine came like that (i bought it used not from AM)

it looks like its supposed to be bolted down to the bumper cover,

even without tape it fits OK, but im going to use some 3M double sided automotive quality tape to hold it down

thats how it looks with just being held in by the plastic clips ontop the the bumper cover

I got mine from AM and have the same issue. I think thats a pretty standard problem with the grill delete. Nobody ever notices it but me

you are talking about the sides of the lip that connect at the top with the push pins.right?

if so mine did the same thing,so i had to slip the lip under the radiator cover but mine is still off just a little, but its not noticeable from a distance

I think it's the same with everyone...And carwashes are a pain because it leaks water, but I'm thinking maybe i'll lift and silicon and just carefully trim what manages to sneak out onto the bumper

Mine fit great. I dremaled out the holes for the the bottom tabs and screwed it in from the bottom with some small washers. Fitment was spot on and I just sold it, lol. Didnt nneed it anymore with the Roush 380R bumper

Mine did not have those holes in it, just 2 plastic clips, which I managed to slide in with out breaking LOL.

The only holes that were in mine was the 2 at the top that bolted it down, I thinking I should have bought mine from blue oval industries like I did my chin spoiler and got true OEM parts....

Anyone have any luck with that piece from ebay? I noticed that some sell carbon fiber ones, not that I would do that of course....
