Problem with my 01 GT ? some help

Hey yall I was driving my car today and I came to a complete stop and I heard a low humming noise. Can't pinpoint where its coming from exactly but it does it when its on idle. I poped the hood but nothing, I only hear it more when inside the car. Any Ideas ?

I did a search on the IAC someone had problems with but the humming I hear is very low and the video the MM member posted did not match my problem I have, the noise is different. Idk sometimes I feel like throwing my stang in a lake. I'm just asking for other ideas see if I can come closer to the problem.

Hit your IAC once or twice with a mallet. Ive heard when those things are going out, they hum really loud. Thats what yours sounds like since the symptoms are at idle.

lol yea I was reading the other thread. I read this and decided to give it a shot tommorow when the sun is up. But I keep thinking its something bad like the Transmission or maybe internal engine parts.

So this morning I drove the car and then I noticed it humms when I press the brakes, turn on my a/c or when I put up both Windows. It seems like its starving for power. My RPM also drops a bit then picks up again. Is it the alternator?

it's the alternator! mine did the same thing about 2 months ago. Honestly, even though AutoZone and Advance has lifetime warrantys on their stuff, me and my dad both are already having problems with our new alternators. I would suggest getting an estimate on getting your stock one rebuilt if theres an alternator shop around you
