depends as some years had different dip sticks. i would just put an even 6 in it. you can put up to 7 in with the stock pan and no problems. if you have a high rpm car and are taking it to the track or something then i'd recommend 7, but for most 6 is good.

6 Quarts, use 6.5 or 7 if you're a corner carver or launch hard. Usually there's .5 to 1 quart of oil left in the pan and engine after you drain the oil for an oil change. I use 5 quarts of synthetic and 1 quart of Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer.

6 unless you got a oil fed blower, then its more like 6.5 qts.

5 is not enough; at least for any 03 or 04

I use whatever oil the manual calls for (motorcraft synthetic blend, 5w30? dont remember the weight, whatever it says on the manual for an 04)

^ thats my reasoning too. 7 qts and it's still below the crank scrapers a tad, and when it's running there's never all that oil sitting in the pan, even just at idle i'd say there's atleast 2 quarts up top

How much will it hold or how much should you put in it? It will hold 9 quarts to the brim. My manual calls for 6 quarts. I ran 6 quarts for the first two years that I had the car, but the oil on the dipstick was always between minimum and half. I later started to put 6.5qts into it, which brought it up to half way on the dipstick. Now with the supercharger I run 7 quarts, which is right at the top of the dipstick.
