got my gears :)

Ok so I got my 3.73 gears from a guy brand new still in the box, I just replaced the axel seals and bearings and the car only has 30k mile; and I got the gear oil, should I be fine with just that?

well you're gonna need to get an install kit, or at the very least a shim kit. odds are against you that the stock diff shims are the correct sizes.

+1 and a new crush sleeve and nut. Just get the whole kit. I replaced all my bearings with about the same miles on it when I did mine. You going to install them yourself?

Are there less overall expenses associated with 3.73 gears instead of 4.10's? For example, will I be ok with 3.73's being the only mod as opposed to maybe a control arm kit and drags with 4.10's? I searched and figured I'd revive this thread - not looking for a 3.73 vs 4.10 debate

Newbie on a budget - thanks!

you'll still may get some spin with the 3.73's...probably not as much though. really depends on your tires...

i hooked very very well at the track with 4.10's and sumitumos though. stock suspension

Nice, any upgrades planned? I have Nitto 555's which should hook ok with 373's. I don't go to the track and just want more fun on the street.

oh in that case you oughta be fine. thats a pretty good street tire. with the 4.10's and a decent all season tire and i wouldn't spin any unless it was cold...and only marginally then

yeah i have an auto swap and a tubular suspension waiting to go on
