You need to bleed the master cylinder. You can't let the master cylinder go empty when bleeding the brakes because it will suck air in. Bleed the master cylinder to regain pressure. Then bleed the passenger side, and then driver side. If you loose pressure again rebleed the master cylinder last and you should be good. That's how I did 4 years ago when I did my cobra front brakes and it has been fine.

Did you put the bleeder cap back on? What about the cap for the brake fluid?

You start with the pass side caliper because its farthest from the master cylinder...

if you bleed any one of the four corners dry, you got a lot of air to get rid of and it is probably at all four corners. I've done a lot of brakes. Rule of thumb is start at the furthest from the master (passenger side rear), then do the driver side rear, then do the passenger side front, and finally the drivers side front. Be sure to keep checking the master as it will go empty on you if you don't and you'll get more air in, and always keep the cap on the master while bleeding. I doubt you'll need to bleed the master. You will need to go around several times, not just once at each wheel. I assume you have a helper, and one of you is pumping and holding the pedal down while the other temporarily opens then closes the bleeder. It's a lot easier if you get a power bleeder. I use one from Mighty Vac that you connect to an air compressor and then it sucks the fluid down to the bleeder and one person can do it without having to pump the pedal. Hope this helps.

Mixing it would not of hurt anything. Just would ended up with dot 3.5

bleed the master cylander. if you look at it you will see 2 bleed nipples. after you bleed that you can then continue to bleed out the rest of the brakes
