Options for replacing the 3650 input shaft?

Is there an option for replacing the stock spline shaft with a stronger one of the same spline count until I save for a new clutch?

I worry this my be my next weak link at the dragstrip. Wonder how many hard launches the stock 10 spline will take with 400+ torque

C MY 4D snapped his off twice on drag radials, power shifting to 4th gear both times. If you're running drag radials I don't expect it to last forever.

Thanks guys-
I've got ~400, but I am running 555R's...
I'm putting together a rear end over the winter, but I'm worried about the rest of it.

I'm crossing over from road rageing so I expect a steep and painful learning curve at the drag stip come spring.
I've got 50K on the stock clutch- easy daily use before the mods, Do you think the clutch will go before the input shaft?
If so, I guess the thing to do would be to replace them both when it does with 26spl.

With 390ftlbs of torque I snapped mine at the track on the 2-3 shift. I was on ET Streets but I twisted it right off. I Sent mine to Liberty's gears and had them make me a 26 spline. (Cheaper then Promotion) It just takes 4-5 weeks.

You could get your factory 10 spline cyro treated, but I would wait until you buy a new clutch and upgrade to a 26 spline, Unless ofcourse you break it before hand.

FYI there really isnt a "core" they actually use your input shaft, cut the broke piece off and "combo" a 26 spline to you origional shaft.

Your stock clutch is going to really save the rest of your powertrain, the clutch will slip a tad and ease the initial load on the inputshaft, axles, diff, and the rest of your drivetrain. I would keep your stock clutch untill it gets fairly bad.
