stock manifold concerns

I am new to the gt stang world, I keep hearing people tell me about a flawed intake manifold on our 99-04's and I should get the aluminum crossover. Is this true how often does the plastic one go up/crack or break? where is it located and where can I purchase the aluminum one for future problem preventions?

Yours should have the aluminum cross over all ready. Look at the front of your intake, Thats where you will see if it is aluminum or plastic. If you do need one, you can get it at American Muscle

I was also told about the concern of cracking. I guess if mine cracks, I'll buy a new manifold.

F8L mid 01 newer cars have the crossover right? Basically romeo motors got the update?

yeah, mostly just 96-00 had the plastic cross overs

I guess lol I have the single din cd player, used a 01-04 Procharger bracket, w/p looks like a later one. But a plastic crossover lol

mines an 01 with a romeo/w plastic crossover, short w/p and a t45. i guess in jan 01 they just threw on what ever they had in stock.

it looks plastic to me? you guys mean the wholt top manifold? if so its black and definatly plastic??

no, the whole thing will not be aluminum, just the very front of the intake.

I had a 98GT that suffered the cracking of the intake. Really sucked but it was in 2007 at 120K miles.

now what site or where can I get the alum. crossover to go on my 01gt? now will just the alum peice go right on or do I have to buy a whole new manifold with it on it?

whole new intake manifold, take a pic of your engine in post it will help determine if you got one or not
