it's hard to feel bad about your car being a little loud driving down the street at 2pm. If it was like 4 or 5 in the morning or something like that, I could understand.

I wouldnt be able to deal with neighbors like that, i would be as loud as possible for a few days that way they are thankful that you are respectful, i have an old lady neighbor and she told me my car sounds mean haha, and last time i got pulled over the cop asked me what i had under the hood that made my car sound so wicked haha. I guess people are just more laid back in Idaho.

Let the guy take you to court so he can lose the case. Youre not breaking any laws so they have no reason to complain. They're just being stiff asses.

not quite start up rpm's are what they are. cars run open loop at cold starts, this is because the o2 sensers have to heat up. that is why typical cold starts hold a higher idle for a certain amount of time. there is alot more to it but i dont want to start a new topic on it now

Tell that guy to go f himself. If you have no HOA and you have had it checked by the locals then you are straight, especially if you are leaving at 2pm. I work nights also. 9p to 6a and my car is loud and you can hear the blower when it is idling in the garage. I drive down the street and try not to rev the car too much, but I know you can hear it. I have not had one person say anything so this guy is being a douche bag.

Try stock mufflers, those are the quietest I've heard. I'm probably the only guy who owns a mustang that doesn't like the idea of having a loud car, but I want LT's, so I'm sticking with the stock cat-back hoping that it muffles the sound enough to avoid the problem that you have.

Acually, you know whats funny. I guy I was talking to at the shop I got tuned at, he had a 97 Cobra, with twins on it. I think he was making like 650rwhp, but he said he wanted the quietest car. He put 4 mufflers on it, hes like Ive never ever gotton a complaint.

That would be quiet as shit, but mustangs need to be somewhat loud, especially a 4V they sound so good.

Go with Kooks longtubes, Kooks o/r X, and Borla XR1 mufflers. Thatll be quiet

+1.. I wouldn't worry about. Let them make threats. your doing nothing wrong. it's pretty nice of you, you are running HI-flo cats and not an O/R pipe and you are trying to make it even quieter in consideration to them.

I think magnaflows are pretty quiet. I think the PowerFlo muffler by SLP is their quiet muffler if I'm not mistaken?

I personally think magnaflows are pretty quiet. I think the PowerFlo muffler by SLP is their quiet muffler if I'm not mistaken? might want to look into those
