BFG G-force T/A DR's
Currently i have 17x9s up front with 255s and 17x10.5 with 315s out back on Nt05r's. The rims and tires are brand new with less than 100 miles. I wanting more of a track DR and want to hook up and cut atleast a 1.7 60'. Im back on stock gears right now.
Well i found a guy with 15x8 draglites with 10" BFG g-force t/a drs out back and BF front runners on 3.5" rim. I read about them and from sites it says they are amazing, suck in rain, wear fast, but hook good and they are known for setting world records or some crap Weld Draglites 5 lug Trade/Sell ^ thats the link, he wants to trade me and give me 300 cash, the rims and tires are in perfect condition, front runners are new and rears have 85-90% tread. Is this a good deal and will i hook better than the nittos i have? BF Goodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial heres a link to the tires. Thanks!

you will hook better yes.
but as far as a daily driver not so good for the road as you stated horrible in the rain and since it's such a soft compound of a tire it's gonna wear quickly. But i do like those rim's that guy has.

Cool, Hes giving me the lug nuts, and center caps to. I do not plan on dd them. I only put about 2500 miles on the car a year and plan on using the 300 he gives me towards some saleen rims with street tires. Realistically are 1.7s-1.8s gonna happen (providing i heat them up and know how to drive like an average joe)

And since your not gonna dd them imo i would pick them up then, and pick up some nice street tires for the rest of your driving.

1.7's are definately possible. I have the same draglites that I use for the track on my car, but I run 26x10 ET streets and I cut a 1.63 60' at the amazing

I've run these tires and now I run Mickey's ET Street Radials. I like the Mickey's better for traction.

BFG's hook very well on the right car, but I'd just get some cheap summit/jegs 15x10's & slicks for your needs.

they wouln't if the rear susp. is ok, but if thats an issue, just get the 8's & a narrower slick.
I certainly would never recomend d/r's on a stick car under any circumstances though.

i see. Do you think its a good deal though? i figure the rims are worth 300 alone and the front runners are cool. With the 300 i can put down cash toward some MT drags.

don't know if you switched over your front brakes yet, but if your still on the cobra stuff, draglites are pretty much out for you.

even with GT brakes you'll need a sizable spacer to run draglites tough.

Alright well the guys wanting them sure do act like it. They are like fighting over it. I looked online and the kit is only like 650 bucks for the cobra brakes. IDK. Im going to take that deal as my front pads are worn and there is no possible way of fitting a 16" or smaller rims without a spacer. Should i go spacer or switch the brakes?

as to the price, your stuff is used & certainly not worth anywhere near 650, but if that guy is wanting to give you all new GT stuff plus 100, your nuts if your not on the phone with him right now.

Yeah im thinking so to. Idk my dad was all against it. He seems to think i should keep the brakes for stoping power at 125+mph when crossing the 1320

GT brakes will be fine, your not likely to see the other side of 125 anyway.
