My Body Work

Today i spent about 10 hours, sanding, wetsanding, filling, shooting and clearing my new cowl, busted side skirt, and trunk lid. My trunk lid had 9 holes and some nasty scratches from the old saleen spoiler. Heres some of me and my buddies work:

thanks. I cant remember if in any of those pics have the clear coat yet.

I used the best paint and clear money can buy. OEM ftw.

Nice, i worked at a bodyshop for a couple months So i'll see what they can hook me up for paint. It's only gonna be black anyways.

In that last pic it looked like it was cleared.

Black isnt the easiest to match up. But yeah the paint you get dictates how good it will be. I used paint guns that were stolen from the GM factory about 3 years ago. (Buddies dad). The paint only was more than a macco complete paint job with labor haha

Yeah i got some nice guns and a big air compressor. Just gonna have to get the parents to go for a trip for a week. Don't wanna get them sick haha.

Because i just finshed about 2 hours ago. Touching fresh paint would be a big NO NO. Gotta wait atleast 12 hours before i start cramming stuff in the back of my jeep and bangin the trunk lid on the shocks and hinges trying to get it on by myself. Nice yeah the compressor i sprayed with is like 6ft tall and 3 foot wide.

lol most of the reason why i took it off was because the pass side didnt have one and i didnt feel like trying to track down the same stickers put them on. I Just got my black mustang sitcker in for my rear bumper, shit looks good.

mikey, all you have to do is get black base coat. Black is a pretty easy color to match.

^ no seal or clear? If its the OEM hood then go for it since it has a good base to start with but just a base coat would be dull as shit.
