flat tops would bring your cr to about 13-1 which would really suck on pump gas. if your looking to make a all race motor running race gas only than flat tops are great. but most people use flat tops with a n/a 5.4 build since it has a taller deck height and makes 11-1 cr

So, the flat top will not be good for 140 nitrous !!

I will skip the nitrous and go for blower Vortech 2V now which is the best pistons !!

blower is -18 cc pistons ap coated ss total seal rings gapped to .024 top ring, .022 bottom ring, piston to wall clearence of .003-.0035 inches, and clivite tri metal bearings

I think the best thing you can do is to buy a shortblock already built for SC specs.

When someone starts asking all kinds of questions like you are it really makes me question their mechanical ability. I've seen lots of guys spend thousands on a na engine they built themselves and then end up blowing the engine after a few months.
