Shift Kit, LCA's and Trans Cooler

Wanting to order in the next couple of weeks depnding on how things go and wondering if i have the right Trans-Go Shift Kit picked out, there were 2 on summitracing which greatly varied in price

TransGo Performance AODE-HD2 - TransGo Performance Shift Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

the LCA's im waiting to hear how some custom one's work out, if not this is the item I've been recommended and am going with

View the 99-04 Mustang Rear Lower Control Arm Set at http://www.cheperformance.com

I have no clue on which trans cooler to go with, if anyone has a link I'd greatly appreciate it. I've decided to hold off on cam install & tune and decided to make the tranny better suited for the power, the converter is most likely going on at this same time. thanks auto experts

Trans go will work. I would probably do Jmod though. The CHE control arms will work. Here is the cooler. B&M 70266 B&M SuperCooler Transmission Coolers Most i think use this one or a similar B&M one.

I would recommend you purchase a different LCA

The 4-link suspension has enough bind already and best have at least one spherical bearing on any replacement LCA. This will add a bit more NVH, but will help to improve all aspects of rear suspension operation.

best to stay unfamiliar with the j-mod, just go with the trans-go kit.

as to the lowers, I'll have the info I mentioned early this week.

i'm wanting a simple quick street setup that will work if i can make it to the strip. improved launches are focus right now and making the trans operate more efficiantly and effectively. after that the cams will go in and more power, i decided there's no point in pushing the power up if i cannot effictively utilize it.

Well this summer I will be putting on Baseline upper and lowers(both sphical ends) anti roll bar, subframe connectors. it's slightly over kill but I am trying to hook on the street as much as possible. I also have strange 10way shocks. 15in rim will help also. Weight tranfer is a big thing. A k member will help also.

I am looking for 410plus hp and 460plus rwtq if this helps

I talked to a guy with 758rwhp IIRC turbo stang that dead hooked on the street with a TH400(gm 3 speed auto). So I figure I can hook 700hp or less. Not that the car wont be capable of more

the main reason for such diffrent opinions is experiance.

best thing to start doing is when people try to give advice is to ask what thier set up is & what their car runs, if they cant answer, then move on.

I know of way more guys that run the Jmod and others who have switched from Trans Go to Jmod. Modified valvebody or Jmod would still be my choice.

installing a cooler is very straight forward, just pick a spot for the cooler it's self, remove the top cooler line at your radiator, run a line from the radiator to one side of the cooler, & a line back from the cooler to the factory line.

as to the shift kit, basically just drop the valve body & follow the directions in the kit.

to settle the j-mod vs. real shift kit debate for yourself, try to ride in a car that has a j-mod, then one that has a shift kit, I think the choice will be very clear to you then.
