Clutch getting stiff

okay well my clutch used to be really stiff... then the cable broke... ill post some pictures of that, it didnt snap, but its really messed up. so i replaced it with the only cable that i could find which was a zoom cable, now i replaced this cable less than a week ago, and it made the clutch so easy to push in it kind of scared me at first, but i got used to it, now its getting really really hard to push in, and im back to thinking theres something wrong....

i have a stage 3.2 clutch, is it normal for it to be pretty hard to push in, because it was a gradual change from soft to hard, but it is very noticeable how hard it is to push in.

the clutch is pretty new also, put in like 4-5 months ago.

do you have a firewall adjuster and quadrant? i would only run a ford cable. seen aftermarket cables stretch. i would make sure the cable is adjusted properly before moving on to anything else

i know that the engagement point is really high on it, so im going to need to go to the transmission and adjust it there some, but im just baffled that the cable is new and its getting so stiff, i have a 90 day warranty, but i dont know if they will just take it back and give my money back, i got it at advanced auto.

i kind of want a MM clutch cable, if i cant find a OEM one.

If the clutch arm starts coming off the pivot ball it can cause the pedel to feel hard because it's a little off center.

will that be fixed when i go and readjust my clutch cable at the clutch fort?
because i need to go move the nut and the lock nut closer to the center of the bolt of the adjustable clutch cable... if that makes since.

another thing to check is to see if you have it routed correctly. some times after market cables get it real close to the exhaust manifolds and it melts it.

Wow, thats not good. Anyways, I have the 2.1 and I can tell you it has been hard to push since I put it in. No problems with the cable yet, though. Been a few thousand miles already. I have the Steeda quadrant, adjustable cable and firewall adjuster kit. My Spec II was not that easy either, so I can imagine a 3.2 being a little harder. I have heard the stock cable is best.
