1/2 rear seat delete?
is it possible to just delete the top half of the back seats and leave the bottom? i carry people in the back every now and then. would there still be a good bit of weight reduction?

Yeah the top is what ways the most anyway (if you take the metal brackets). You can still do a full rear seat delete. Just wrap a piece of plywood for the bottom with carpet. It will not be safe but ppl can still sit back there. In our state you do not have to wear a seat belt in the back seat.
