It has a better crank vs the auto mach but the rods and pistons are the same material as the gt. Whats the safe power level on the gt? Mach1 with stock rods and pistons safe power limit should be the same as the gt but if you upgrade the internals/rods pistons and you have a 5speed you shouldnt have to upgrade the crank. So 450 should be your limit even with the 5speed bc the rest of the internals excluding the crank.

im going for 460-480 whp. and im just getting a p1sc becasue i plan on only having the car for another two years or so and about 5 to 10k miles which is what i put on every two years. I waiting for the coyote to drop in price to about 15-18k to get one.

i have a serious crush on the new 4v engine.

I know they have the same pistons and rods. But I see a lot of Machs with the stock longblock making almost 500rwhp on Mach 1 Registry. You can safley make more power on a GT motor with the engine being more efficient, like cams/heads. The Machs already have a pretty efficient motor being 4V and all, and the steel crank takes away some of the vibrational stress on the rods/pistons.

Thats why I asked whats a pretty safe number on a Mach motor? For a GT with the stock LONGblock, Id say 400rwhp

400rwhp gotcha ppl always said 450 hp but never specified engine hp or rwhp. Gotcha.

450 is iffy. With heads or cams yes, but I wouldnt do it. Id keep it around 430rwhp with cams. And a very conservative tune.

is all in the tune. timing is key.. i can tell you that this engine is stong because it has taken nitrous like a champ. im sure that the weak torque curve of a centifugal will actually be a releave lol

Thats awesome. Yeah my dad wants to supercharge his Mach too, hes probally going to, Im just trying to get him going. Hell be beating me again though if he makes even 430rwhp which is very safe on those motors.

430 is very safe.. this motors can handle more than 430whp. the 5speed ofcourse becasue of the forge crank. ive seen as high as 569whp on stock mach 1 bottom end. it lasted 2 years.

I could be wrong but I thought for sure that the mach1 has the same rods and pistons that the gt has and the limit is about 450 on those things. The only difference I knew of was the 5speed had a forged crank but still the same rods and pistons so it can rev higher but still has that 450hp limit not bc of the crank but bc of the same rods and pistons. If you or you dad push it past that good luck I have always heard that it can be all in the tune but... Im sure you catch my drift. The crank can handle it easily but not the rods and pistons. Maybe im just completely wrong and will be corrected if so then my bad but im kinda thinkin im not wrong on that one.
