springs/shocks question?
I have a 2003 Gt and I just put H&R supersports on it, and still have the stock shocks and struts. Its has 53k miles. I was driving down a back road and the rear of the car felt like it was on a trampoline. Is bounciness more noticeable or common with stiffer springs or are my shocks and struts just ass? Thanks!

The stock pieces are not valved correctly for that low of a drop and typically will wear out quickly when this is done. Invest in a good set of bilsteins or something like that. Your shocks/struts are shot.

I dont really have enough bank for bilsteins, at least not now. I was recommended the Koni STR.Ts cuz its pretty much a dd but I want it to be a really fun dd. I <3 twisties and want it to handle and perform like a porsche haha. Any experience with them? Or do you think I shoud save up for the bilsteins? I could get other stuff though if I get the Konis with the money I'd save from the bilsteins like gears and a tuner, etc. You think I should get the shocks first or other performance mods?

I hear good stuff about the STR.T's. A member here told me they were similar to the blisteins, but affordable.

You can look for a set of tokico shocks that came on the '01 Bullitt. The Bullitt's were lower 3/4 of inch all the way around and should work. I don't know if that's any better on your budget, but if you want your mustang to handle like a porche you better put a lot more into your suspension that these pieces.

I probably wouldn't have sprung for the Bilsteins, but the PO put them on. They're stiff but they sure make for some outstanding handling. Then again the IRS doesn't hurt either.
Just a warning about stiffer suspensions; they can be hell on rough roads or parking lots. Just the price you pay for handling.

Can I get just the rears to start or do I have to get all 4 at the same time
What else would you recommend for starters?
