under hood surprise

I almost had a heart attack when I saw this! After spending 3 hours shoveling 2-3ft of snow around my house and two cars I decided to start the stang up and move it a little to get all the snow from underneath the car. Through the grille I saw that the radiator was completely frozen so I figured it would be good to let the car warm up a little too. When I started it up it seemed really quite. I couldn't even hear the supercharger. After about a minute it started shaking, which lasted about a minute then stopped. I decided to pop the hood and this is what I found. All that snow must have blown in the space between the grille/bumper/headlights and hood. When I stuck my hand underneath the passenger side bumper and wheel-well the AEM dry flow air filter was completely covered in snow. I pounded the bumper to get all the snow out of it and stuck my hand underneath and into the wheel well to get all snow off the filter. I took as much snow off of the engine as I could with my hands. Kind of scared me at first but the car warmed up and I put the defrost on so the fan kicked in and in 50 minutes the engine was pretty much completely dry.

Holy shit thats crazy. That would suck. My car is buried, I started her for the first time in 3 weeks today (stock battery, 90 k miles and fired right up) and it was fine. I had to get in the pass. door and climb over, but I dont think my motor has snow on top of it lol

My SVO is buried under the snow at the moment with a dead battery. Me thinks I'll go ahead and leave the car cover on it and wait for the melt before I put a new battery in it or try to fire it up. Just toss some fuel stabil in it and call it at that. No need to jack it up as the tires are crap anyway and I will be replacing in the springtime. I'll just have to play with the quad and the Jeeps for now.
