(keep in mind there are 2 ways to do this)
if you have about a grand to spend on your car then dont cheap out and do the work yourself not only that DO NOT cut them UNLESS it does not fit into your budget, if you decide to cut your springs you need to get a grinder and cut off wheel, do not attempt to cut them whith a hack saw or sawzall it will take forever

i have cut my springs on my gt only because i didnt have the funds to buy aftermarket ones.

most of these mods can be done for cheaper im sure, only reason i used AM is cause everyone is familiar with them and cause the quality of the parts they sell is damn good..

ORIGINALLY WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT IT, it looked like a Tejano gangster got done with it

then i got the grill delete: $100

Bought some used lowering springs: $120

Then some used 10.5" DD bullit's with 315 nitto drag radials and normal sized fronts: $650

Sold the old rims for $300, so that's: -$300

smoked tail light tint strips, $50

Mach chin spoiler: $100

and a Yay taco sticker: $4

$1024
-$300

Grand total?

$724

I know how to spend even less on making it look sexy. $59.99 less to be exact. Keep the stock fuel door. It flows a lot better with the car. Only thing I don't like about Bullitts. I actually almost bought one. There was an 80K mile Vortech Bullitt for 8 grand for sale a few miles from me, only problem was a blown trans. But, by the time I felt like asking about it, it was sold.

I have a shorty antenna, lowered 2 inches, and 18" black FR500s. Once I get my new bumper on, I'm buying a Mach 1 chin spoiler and grill delete. They're pretty much "cookie cutter" mods to look good, but it's awesome.

Reps BTW. Good write up for someone who just bought a stock New Edge and isn't too knowledgeable about the Mustang aftermarket.

These are the basic mods everyone does. It does dramatically enhance your car, but it also makes you look like 95% of the other Mustangs out there. Think outside the box, just don't go rice...

I got the 01 Cobra bumper and think it looks badass... Just need to pick up an 03-04 Cobra chin. Have the Mach 1 in the office but it doesn't flow on the Cobra bumper... to small and doesn't match the body lines of the bumper...

That's the way I look at it, very common. But, think of it this way. TONS of people are thinking outside of the box, going with BBS wheels, Godspeed Omegas now, CCWs, more pricey items that you don't see as much. Then there's the 03/04 Cobra bumper crowd, the Saleen clone crowd, Roush bumper crowd 99/01 Cobra bumper crowd.

With all of them silly people thinking outside of the box, the simple, clean look of a lowered GT on some decent wheels, maybe tinted windows, Mach 1 chin spoiler, Mach 1 grill delete, smoked headlights, is becoming original again!

I was actually going to go for an 03/04 Cobra bumper. Changed my mind. I guess that's why it's an 03/04 Cobra bumper. Looks good on an 03/04 Cobra, not a GT with GT side skirts, a GT hood scoop, etc.

No hard feelings man, your Bullitt looks sick. It's just one small detail that I don't prefer IMO. If I bought a car with it, I'd keep it. Just wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. Sort of like a "won't break me, won't make me" mod for me.

Sure. Just pick up a cheap new edge V6 body, and swap in your Cobra drivetrain. Then I'll trade!

I couldn't give up the look of a new edge. I saved since February of 2010 for mine, and just picked it up in November. The 17th will make 3 months.

no need to spend money on a shorty antenna, you can cut your stocker in about 5 mins only needing some vice grips to get the ball out of the top and a hacksaw to cut it. i would also never put a different fuel door on but that's all in people's opinions.

one thing is when it comes to most cars, lowering and a set of wheels is the biggest thing that can change the look of a car. also pretty pricey tho lol.
