MM, Any way to pass Texas/Arizona smog with LT's?

I've got a Mac PC and Mac LT's. I am about to have to go get 'er inspected for the first time... Any tricks? I can't just throw a stock mid-pipe on with how long the PC is. Any idea?

I know very few areas in Texas require emissions, only around major cities like Austin, Dallas, Houston, and El Paso. LT's pass emissions in Texas, unlike the nutjobs in california.
Find a stock midpipe, cut and weld it until it fits in place of the PC, or just hope the guy doesn't look under the car. As long as you do not have any error codes it could go undetected.
Other ways are to hollow out the cats, and throw them on the PC if you don't want to change the midpipe when that time rolls around.

Man, to be prefectly honest I don't want to cut up my PC. I guess if it really comes down to it, I'll end up having to. I have MIL eliminators & the Diablo Tuner but I can't keep the codes out. It only lasts for a few days and the codes come back after being deleted. If they look under the car, all they will see is the PC, its low as fuck with the coilovers set to where they are!

How can you not keep the codes out with MIL's? They should eliminate the code for "cats not optimal" forever. Mine work perfect, only code I throw is P1000- system readiness test not completed, because of the tune.
Like I said, find a midpipe with cats and hack it up until it fits in place of the PC, just for the day.

Yeah I get the same code... I'm short on money, time, space, and supplies to do all of that. I'll just hope to god I can afford this shit if I fail!

where in arizona, i had a few friends pass with long tubes and or no cats, OBDII is what most places do. If they pull up no codes then they let you go. If the only code you pull up is the p1000 then I believe you should be fine. Never had to do emission myself sooo

I'm in Fort Hauchuca Arizona. Its about an hour from Tucson. I'll only be here until July. The California inspection from the last owner goes out this month and I'm like screwed now. I can't afford the Tax/Title/License right now so I can't get it inspected and shit plus why would I get the car tagged in Arizona when I'm about to be back home in Texas (National Guard)

As for where in Texas I'm from, its called Wichita Falls.

Well you are in luck, you don't even have to pass emissions in Texas. Just a safety inspection. Oh, how I envy you.
and in Arizona, I have no idea. I've looked and its confusing, I think you have to pass emissions no matter where you live. There's some kind of military waiver thing. Look into that, it might be able to help.

I go to a place that doesn't actually test emissions, they just have you sign a piece of paper saying it's factory/legal/somethinglikethat. Just search around for a ghetto enough place and you should be set anyways.

Well damn, at least get the horn working. I'm not sure how they would test airbag functionality.

You can't really put a Airbag in a Sparco wheel Ha. And where the airbag comes out on the pass side, that plastic is busted.

i passed a test in Louisiana, with..... no mufflers (actually no exhaust from around the cat area) and no insurance (LMAO) i kept giving them the old cards (no worrys i did have insurance) i found the up to date cards when i left, they were still on the paper in my center council. it just all depends on where you go to check your stuff.

In AZ I have passed emissions with A 509whp blown Cobra and a 01 Turbo GT no cats on either one the Cobra had longtubes. As long as you're OBDII in AZ and there's no check engine light you will pass, there is no visual inspection. Also if you do have codes find a friend with a tuner and delete them. Or get some MIL eliminators

What he said. They will plug in for the OBD and check for any CEL's and then they will check the pressure on your gas cap. If all that is good then you are fine. Most of them don't even do a visual inspection for cats or anything else under the car. Good luck!

Check with your handheld first to make sure you're not throwing any codes.

I know in WA you can't pass with a P1000. I also believe you won't be able to clear a P1000 unless you have all of your O2 sensors turned on in the tune(this is where MILs will save you from throwing anything). If anyone could confirm that last part I'd appreciate it.

As I said before I have MIL's and a tuner. I delete codes as they come up... P1000 is the only one I get and its only sometimes.
