fuel injector help

i am currently replacing the gasket on my intake manifold as i took out one of my fuel injectors, the red cap on the bottom of the injector came off as i pulled the injector out of the engine, leaving it stuck in the hole. not being able to see and pull it out of the hole using a flashlight and a grabber, i am worried/confused on what i should do next, does anyone have any advice? also, the reason behind the replacing of the gasket is that i am leaking coolant down each side of my tranny. the guy in the shop said that he has seen many 4.6 liters, around 100,000 miles start to leak coolant just like mine due to a bad gasket. has anyone else had this problem? advice is greatly appreciated.

You have to pull off the intake manifold to replace the gaskets anyway. So after you get the manifold pulled off you should be able to stick a screwdriver or something in from the intake port and push out the injector cap.
