You can wire in the additional FPDM, but it is't going to do anything until there is a second fuel pump present to receive a signal.

Im running the factory 03/04 cobra tank, hat, and pumps now. Stock 03/04 pumps, not the supercar pumps, but i was wondering if it would help lower my duty cycle.

It will lower it a little bit, but not much. You dont need a modded fpdm or a 2nd fpdm until you run twin 255's or ford gt pumps. But you could always just set it up so your fuel pump duty cycle is low. Thats always good.

yeah i know i dont "need" it. But i have the parts just sitting here, and a lower duty cycle is a good thing.

hell, throw it on then. lol.

and since when was a mod FPDM "better" than dual fpdm's. Ive always heard that dual FPDM's is more reliable and a sure thing vs having some modified FPDM's still seeing thermal shutdown. I may be wrong but have heard stories of such info. dunno

I have Twin GT pumps and modified FPDM waiting to go in too. Just lazy and HATE working on this damn thing! lol

hell, if you have time go ahead and install it. its not going to hurt anything, not really going to help till its actually needed either.

this was my thinking. I have it here and it is something that will be needed down the road anyway, so whay not do it. The only problem is haveing the time to do something thats not in dire need lol.

I can find a the link again to the wiring diagram if you want to do the dual FPDM. I have that installed on my Bullitt and honestly I'd rather have 2 FPDMs than 1 modified one. If one goes bad I can replace it and not be completely down. I could probably drive it just not getting into boost or hard throttle. Where if a single modified FPDM goes bad your up shit creek without a paddle and those aren't cheap. Just my

Oh, and I agree...install it. It won't do any better, but it won't hurt and when the time is right it's already done.

This is not a how-to write up that I mentioned before. It is the wiring diagram, so keep that in mind.

Smoothgrandmama...You still have that kit available? If it's unused, put a price on it for me...

I own a 2000gt i'm upgrading the fuel system on as well. New 03/04 tank, fore precision hat with dual gt pumps. It's together and waiting to go in, however obviously i noticed the wiring dilemma. I'm new to doing anything with fpdms. I'm guessing I'm going to have to go this route as well.

If i order this kit, i don't need 2 "new" fpdms correct? I can still use the one I have? I notice lethal performance shows a "omit 1 fpdm" to save $60.

My gt is pretty much stock other than a 150shot and a cai. Oh, and 410s. The motor is getting pulled in the future for something better (nearrr future), but I'm guessing I can't wire those dual gt pumps up together into the stock wiring to run off of one fpdm correct?

Thanks everyone.
