small budget most power

hey i am 14, and getting a 2000 mustang GT in a month or so, which comes with an aftermarket pipe and some other stuff. i don't have a big spending budget, but i am getting a job in june. i was wondering about which engine parts you all would recommend for the least amount of money possible. im thinking about the Steeda cold air intake first. and i don't want to spend a lot as i am looking at buying a street racing bike in 2 years, which i need to save up for

for the GT, new gears are a must.. is it 5 speed or auto? most people would recommend 3:73 gears for 5 speed and 4:10's for auto.. with new gears (and pretty much any other modification you do to your car) you will need a tuner that basically lets he engine know what mods you have dne to it so it will respond better

Nitrous. If you have the funds to do a bunch of mods, then a CAI or cat-back are mandatory starters. But if you're low on funds and want the most effective power adder for the least amount of money nitrous is hard to beat. You can get a Zex wet kit, part number 82023, for about $550 off ebay. It's not too hard to install and it's a lot of fun.

You could change the gears to 3.73's or 4.10's for about the same amount of money installed but I'm not sure if the change would be as drastic. I did nitrous first and haven't put the gears in yet.

Congrats on the Mustang and job.

Not sure i would get a street bike so young. I supercharged my mustang so i wouldnt get one. Because i know i would probably hurt myself pushing it! Or other dumbass drivers merging into you... anyways back on topic.

Gears will make a difference and are pretty cheap. Pulleys are also a good mod and free up some power. There is a sticky at the top of the page you might want to check out.

I'd go for a mustang instead of a bike. Just my preference, plus a lot safer (no matter how good of a driver you are, you cant make others better either ).

+10 on nos! (who even works out the old fashion way anymore? roids ftw)
