Have you checked out the 1/4 mile track there yet? When I was there it was 6 bucks to run for the night, and they had reg runs 3 sat. a month and bracket racing 1 weekend a month. Might be a great way to meet locals that could hook you up with a place to get parts and a tune.

That sucks! It was always packed and lots of people wanting to race. Couldn't imagine it being from a lack of buisness?

I think the owner didn't want it anymore... Its still there just can't use it. I raced on it once when I first got here. Ran a 15.1 in a 89 GT

Cool. At least you got a chance to run it before it closed. I had a camaro I took there all the time (13s) and a buddy of mine had a nova 350/350 he ran there. It was one of the only places there you could go as military and not have to worry about having to box a local.

I sold the camaro before leaving to a friend that planned on staying since I couldn't take it back to California and pass smog. He was unlucky enough to find one of those magnetic trees a cpl weeks after getting it and totalled it. I had to look at it in the lot all f**cked up every day before I left.

Hopefully someone buys it and re-opens it.

Yeah the land was leased... and the owner didn't want to renew his lease. There were attempts to have the city lease it so it could stay open, but that failed. It makes no since that they have tracks on the big lsland and I think kauai but not here When oahu has about 1 million people on it I have heard that a new one or campbell will be opening again soon..Hopefully.

I've been getting 14-15 mpg lately, but I'm always heavy on the gas... Its too fun not to be! As for traction, I'm still on the stock 245/45's. 1st gear I can't go more than half throtle. 2nd I can sometimes keep it floored, depends on the pavement. And I haven't had problems with traction in 3rd unless i shift really hard. I'm going to be putting some nitto 555r's in the back pretty soon. That should fix it for my driving style.

I'm actually worried about a 2,000 mile road trip comming up. Not so much for gas mileage, but how the s/c will handle it.

Think I might turn off the boost for the trip using the bypass valve. I'll do better on fuel and keep it cool!

ive only had my car on one long drive and it was about 6 and a half hours and i ended up around 23 miles to the gallon pretty much all highway but around town its a little different lol im heavy on the gas myself, im really not worried about the gas mileage even though this is my only vehicle i was just wondering how the SC effected it. what gears would yall recommend after at SC 4.10's or 3.73's?
