Going to forged internals...what to get?
I'm not going to be doing this right away but I'm going to start saving money for it. I was just wondering what your opinions were. I'd like to supercharge my car in future (04 GT) and I'd like to do it safely, so I was looking at forged rotating assemblies. I would probably get the forged internals and have them installed and then later buy a supercharger and have it installed. You can either get the standard 4.6 forged rotating assembly, or you can get a stroker. I figure I would rather get the stroker, because then I would at least feel a difference after I had the stuff installed before I could get the supercharger. This, as opposed to getting the standard 4.6 rotating assembly and spending all that money on it and having it installed and not feeling any difference.
This is my question: What would be the advantages and disadvantages of the stroker with the supercharger. Would I just be better off leaving it at 4.6? Thanks |

Probably only about 350 at the wheels to start, I definitely wouldn't be going over 450

Yeah, I'm paranoid I know. Like I said, I'm going to go to 350 for a while and then probably up to about 450, I don't really think I personally need anything higher. That being said, once I get there I may decide I want more. I like doing things right, the first time, and not having to back track to fix things.
