which tuner is the best??? and can you actually tune your car to get better gas mileage? so that way if I were to go on a roadtrip I can keep my pocket full until I get where I am going then retune it to rip up the street... and which tuner is best to do this?

i've got a diablosport predator. not bad. from what i've heard, the sct xcal2 is the way to go. the xcal2 gives you more options than the predator for the same price. or you could go with the sct livewire. it's pricier than the other two but you can do a lot more with it.

If your not looking at any serious modding then the Diablo should work great for you.. Now if you plan on getting into a little more complicated stuff i would consider the Xcal2.. i have seen allot of shops turning to that tuner.. has to be for some reason.. Good Luck.

I have the diablosport predator and I really like it. What is it that the Xcal II does that the predator doesn't? People state what they heard, or think they heard, but they both do the same thing. The only advantage the Xcal II has is that it is more widely used at dyno shops.

There are still some differences...But Diablo is working on making them equal...Like said above it will also depend on what part of the country you are in to what tuner would be best for you...

My tuner is:
www.modularpowerhouse.com

But most people are going to ahve a favorite tuner...What part of Texas are you in? San Antonio?

XCAL2
You can tune the Automatic Shift schedule and line pressure
Data Logging
Has software to change the tune yourself
Flexability in adjusting tunes

Cons:
still bug in SCT tuner software
no option to change cooling fan temp and speed

Up until the latest runs of diablo you could not datalog with it...Also until recently you could not have multiple tunes on the diablo...

They have improved it but there are still things that you cant do with the diablo...If you ahve a manual then the diablo is just as fine as the XCAL2...If you have an auto the XCAL2 is the only one for you...

Its an ongoing thing...Just like tuner shops...Some people say Diablo some people say SCT...

PERSONALLY...I dont like adjusting things in percentage...PERSONALLY

PERSONALLY...I had nothing but bad times with Diablos customer service...PERSONALLY

But you cant judge it off my exp. becuase for every 1 person that does not this tuner or that tuner there is 1 other person that will swear by them...

but the good thing about don is he will do custom tunes for your combo and give you 90 days if you do datalog. buy the wideband and it makes it easier for you. if you go to this site, hes is the guy who wrote the software for sct

This is the second time that you posted this and I'm curious, why do you say that the diablo is not good for autos? What is it that it doesn't adjust that automatics need?
