Convertible Top

The metal strip that actually touches the car right above the windshield when the top is raised is rusted out. It's a thin piece of metal underneath the lip of the very front of the convertible top. I don't have pictures of it now, but maybe those of you with convertibles will know what I'm talking about. I was wondering if it's common for this piece to be rusted and if I should change it or what?

I know what piece your talking about, but mines not rusted out. I noticed your in alabama, not much rust here. You get a northern car?

Naw it's been here in AL the whole time... My buddy's isn't rusted either, weird. My top doesn't leak or anything

check some junk yards see if you can find a used one.
