would a ford parts department have
a gear and pinion install kit?

Possibly not a 'kit', but surely they'd have everything needed to do the job. Pinion nut, etc.

Yes your ford dealership should be able to do this. Now wether they want to or not is up to them.

I tried to go to the ford dealer to price gears. They told me they can order only what came stock on the car. I tried to tell them to order the gears for a truck with an 8.8 rear end and 4.10's.... they told me they won't fit my mustang. Stupid dealers.

Yeah, they told me the same thing, my uncle works at a dealer and has numerous 3.73 ring and pinion gears in perfect shape, would anyone be hesitant to use them, or with teh cost of labour is it not worth it.

you need to find a dealer that participates in the ford racing program they will have everything you need ,,but then they priced
the install job at 700.00 bones hahahahahaha

I know some techs that have been known to install gears after hours for $100-$200 plus parts. Some of them even do them at the dealership. Just depends on how strict the dealer is.

Wow thats crazy.. I don't think that we were are ford performance parts dealership and i had my techs install gears on the Chevy side all day long.. It was easy money. I know they did the same thing on our Ford side too?
