Running Rich?

Couple question wat are signs of running rich?
Right now my car has a slight scent of gas and light black stuff on my bumper.and occasional white smoke, but no black.

I was told i was running rich but someone else says coolant is getting into my motor and its gonna detonate.

I need to know wats up cause if its that serious i need to take it to the shop right away

White smoke means you are burning coolant and if its blueish then that means you are burning oil! If its running rich put a code reader on it and see if anything is there!

+1 I know white smoke is oil from my old chevy with bad valve seals. Rich would be black smoke.

Sounds like this guy is just burning some oil
