Don't be completely embarrassed if you screw up. Everyone screws up. My dad did a burnout with my car past the lights. Then he tried to stage with his rear tires. Everyone was laughing and dad just laughed with them. However my friend gets all butt hurt when something bad like this happens. Just remember to have fun no matter what. Even if your times aren't what you'd like.

Do your best and don't worry, it's a learning experience. We have all been there for our first time running the track. Just pay attention to what/how others are doing.

If your running street radial tires, go around the water box. Just do a small/quick dry launch to clean debrie off the tire before staging. If street radial tires, drop rear psi to about 25-26 psi.

Someone mechened the water box to me at work today. Definately make sure to do that because I am running street radial tires...

Ended up running a 14.1 my first pass ever.
Not bad. Just had a lot of wheel spin and had to let completely off the gas to hook. All in all, fun day.

Nope. Just sport tires. Bridgestone RE760. I Figure I'm going to change my bad spark plugs and shocks. Shocks are definately bad. Not too positive about spark plugs but it's not like theyre expensive.

My best time so far with the same exact mods as you, using the stock suspension and NT555r's was a 13.75. So with some sticky tires you should run just as quick. My car is a manual.

You need practice. Thats it. I ran a difference of .3 seconds in the eighth after I had practice.

The car on the left was an 07 gt with cams headers CAI exhaust and tune.

You should run it at pony wars in Savanah on April 2. Look for my thread on it for more info...

The driver of that 07 GT either lied about his mods or is a really shitty driver.
