Are 2v's worth modding?
So I've had my gt for a couple of years now and I think its time for a little more power. Do you guys think I should sell my gt and go for a cobra or just start modding my gt? I would prefer to keep my gt due to the fact that I have grown some what attached to it but from what some people say it doesnt sounds like the 2v has much potenital. let me know what you guys think!

I fucking hope! I have put $7200 in my car in 7 months!
Yes they are. Sure a 3v or 4v is better...but people still mod Ls1's but the Ls2 is better or hell the Ls7. Just what you want to do and what you can afford.

Well, that depends on how much you want out of your car?
I was between selling my gt and getting a cobra, or keeping it and possibly supercharging it later. What I came up with is, it takes ~$2500 for a vortech and all the necessary hardware, and a tune. And that'll do you till around 400rwhp. I wouldn't go much above that with the stock motor. I would never sell my gt, because it's a lot cleaner than most mustangs, and it took me ~1500 miles worth of driving, looking at cars, to finally buy one. So it comes down to, how much hp you want, and how much you love your gt I'd take your gt over a cobra. LOVE the car man! Keep up the good work. |

it depends on what your doing with the car & what you can live with to get the power you want.
N/A 2v's made it into the 9's last year & will most likely see 9.5's this year by the sounds of it (these were pretty radical combos though) best thing to do is set goals for the car & see what it takes to get there.

To some its worth it, to others its not. Just really depends on what you're happy with. The 2vs can make big power, no doubt in that, just it costs much more to make big power with these cars.

its all choice. I wish i would not of sold my GT to be honest. I should of enjoyed running 13.0s full bolt ons. Forged the bottom end and saved for a blower. Got to antsy in my panstys. There is plenty of aftermarket for them and the skys the limit. Hell i just seen a guy put a viper v10 in his GT. If the motor aint doing it for ya put something else in it!

THIS SHIT.
Why I'm just building a 4v for my GT. I have AllState and went to see what insurance would be like on a terminator and I got quoted 560 a month and thats with no accidents and 1 speeding ticket. There is no way in hell I could pay that now. I dont get how some of these young guys, like 18-21 years old, can afford those cars. Fuck, I'm 20 and still only making $8.50 an hr at a two bit job detailing cars at a Nissan dealership so I can't imagine what those guys do to afford an 03 cobra.

dont have to have a fast car to have an opinion. i'm sorry but Chevy dudes and their LS1's get old. I have friends with GMs and we joke around and give either other shit. But I'd be pissed if I want told "your 2v is slow and wont be shit like a 4v/Cobra"
