battery light
my battery light keeps coming on intermitantly when it comes on i have to wiggle the alternator cable and it goes away.what could be going on?

I say your alt is getting ready to go out. Mine did this for about couple weeks before I had to change it out. However I had like 165K miles on mine as well..

alt. is going out... mine went out last week and i had to get it towed home. it was doing the same thing as urs. i tested it one day and it was fine, then two days later it died. go to a salvage yard and pick up a used onefor like $40, they are around $250 at most autoparts stores

 edit: you will have to bring in yours and give it too them or else you get a core charge and if advance isnt up in VA then maybe autozone might have lifetime warrantys on the alts too. |

junk yard man... one that warrantys there stuff and tests the alt before u buy it... i got mine for $40 and a 90 day warranty
