New cams

I just bought a set of Hitech Stage 2 cams for my car. Does anyone know of a good manufacturer for cam gears or if I can reuse my stock ones, or if the stock ones are removable?

I am not 100% positive - I believe the answer is yes. If you have a 96-98 or 01+ you can reuse them. Some people here know the answer to this. I hope they come in this thread.

Of course if you had 99-00 you would just by cam gears from a different year. Since the 99-00 cam gears are pressed on instead of bolted.

If you are looking for adjustable cam gears, I would do some research. I have heard of some of them losing adjustment and causing PTV. Some people just grind the key way on the stock cam gear and adjust the cam that way. If you plan on degreeing the cams you will have to do 1 or the other.

I just had a thought. Why do we call them cam gears? I was wondering if maybe if cam sprockets or cam chain sprockets might be a better term?
