Winter mods done!

Well I got my winter mods done finally.. Im happy with the outcome and the quality of all the products. The install wasnt too bad, all was done by myself on my back with the help of a few beers and some curse words. Car definatly feels alot stiffer, and has better steering response. Seat of the pants feels pretty good about the headers and new catted x pipe, but we will see the results on the dyno and at the strip soon. Heres a list of the recent upgrades...
BBK long tube w/ catted X
Canton 7qt oil pan and windage tray
Racecraft K member w/ road race option
Steeda X2 balljoints
Steeda bumpsteer kit
Polyurethane motor mounts, a-arm, steering rack and sway bar endlink bushings.
Removed front lower spring iso's and all rear iso's
Stainless brake lines

The windage tray helps keep the crank from having to slosh through all the oil on every rotation and is supposed to gain HP in the upper RPM's. I do not know why he went with a 7qt pan though, im sure there was a reason.

How was it installing the balljoints? I plan on doing that once I get my car out of storage.

Well the main reason I went with it was because I got the pan and the tray new for $125 It was kinda of a "since ya was'" deal since I was in there installing the k and I planned on dropping the pan to replace a leaking gasket. I autoX and drag race so the added baffels in the pan is extra security and the extra capacity will keep the oil cooler.

I heated the bottom of the a arm around the ball joint and then used a hammer to knock them out.. just took a few good swings. Then I used a big c clamp style ball joint press to install them... Im sure you can rent the tool at most parts stores. The ball joints were cake compared to the a arm bushings

That sucks man, sorry to hear... its amazing what people will steal. But yea this job took 2 jacks and a tranny jack came in super handy while dropping the K member...also worked like a charm when dropping the rear end.. Definatly a handy piece of harbor frieght to own
