suspension setups and ?'s

I want to upgrade my suspension on my 01 gt auto its a dd and track car. I heard lowering springs hurt performance is that true? if not tell me what brand to go with for dd'n and track. Also if its best to stay with the stock springs will front and rear upper and lower control arms benefit me? just wondering what route I should go for race track usage but a dd at the same time give me some input guys.

it's best to stay with the stock springs. as to the rest of the susp, the number of track visits vs. street miles a year would help along with your power plans & desires both on the street & at the track.

Get some CHE lowers, cut bout 1/2 a coil off the back of the stock rear springs, and get some Laurelmountainmustang subframe connectors.

Don't forget about full length subframe connectors, weld in type. I like Maximum Motorsports brand.

The control arms are in the rear, for what you described i would just get lowers and yes they will be fine with stock springs and shocks.
