to trade up or not
I've been looking on ebay at the machs and wondering if I should sell my stang and get a mach before starting to mod. I paid 10k cash for mine and think I could get that back out of it, and am seeing machs going for 16k and up with low miles.
The crank isn't a big deal to me since I am planning on getting a race lb from vt, but the 32 valves over 16 is what is really making me wonder if I shouldn't go for the upgrade. What do you all think? I have the money to do it so that isn't really an issue, but is it worth the extra cash for a 4v motor?

i have a friend with a oxford white mach and low mileage that is SUPER CLEAN for sell...he is askin 17500 i believe...and its here in MS

Nice car for sure. I would hop on it, but the problem I have is I am part owner in a trucking company and wont have time to do the sale/ buy untill january. I work 9 mo out of the year and take jan-march off, so having the time to buy the mach now is an issue. I can sign my tital off to a friend of mine to sell it, but wouldn't be able to buy till jan at the earliest (just loose to much $ taking time off this time of year). I hope your friend can sell his for what he wants and it looks like plenty of peeps are interested.
I like the look of the machs. I guess I just need to sell mine and hope there is a nice one available come the beginning of next year. Anyone around the Vegas area looking for a clean stock 03 GT? hehe

I would upgrade before you invest a lot of money into the GT. Money spent is the number one reason why most people don't upgrade.

Take a look at this cobra I found this on craigslist.com this guy is in Summerlin. BTW I was born and raised in Vegas. i would buy this if it is still available!!!!

Thanks for the links Amphibrecon. Before I bought my car I looked in craigslist, autotrader the the reviw journal for like a month and didn't find anything. Now it seems there are some (must be tax time LOL) great choices. That one for 14k is a steal.. And I'm stuck on the east coast till tomorrow and then headed to N cali...
So the 03 04 machs are only 15-10hp off the 99-o1 cobra? Hmm hehe I just love the shaker hood on the Machs, and the fact that not a whole lot of them were made. How many Cobras were made those years? (99-01 since the price jumps so high on the 03-04 ones) I was going to HS there at chaparral when they were building the 515

Yeah, I'm lucky to get through Vegas every 3 months to get mail. I usually have a load lined up before I drop, and turning one down isn't really the best way to keep a good relationship going with my broker. hehe
I take Jan-march off each year, so it will prob be then before I actually buy something. I'm signing my title off to my bro next time I'm in Vegas so he can sell it for me, but I'll prob have to wait to buy. The Cobra is sweet, but I am hoping to find an 03 or 04 oxford white Mach now. If I find one on Ebay I will prob have to take time off early to go check it out and hopefully get it. The pre-03 Cobras weren't much more hp than the Machs and I like that damn hood scoop on them. I see plenty of Cobras running around, but have seen vary few Machs. 89? Not that far behind me. My class gradded in 86 (feels old now LOL) Who knows, prob crossed paths there a few times
